Mahakalu Honey
Natural Honey
from Nepal Himalayas
"Mahakalu honey" is produced by Himalayan Giant Honeybees from the nectars of alpine flowers, flowering plants that grow in the mountainous area of Nepal. The giant Himalayan honey bee is only present in the mountainous regions, particularly the Himalayas at altitudes between 2,000 and 3,000 meters. They build nests far off the ground overhanging rocks or cliffs.
Honey Hunting
Honey hunting is a tradition that's carried on for generations. Hunt is done dangling from bamboo rope ladders hundreds of feet above high in the cliffs. Harvested sustainably, in a way that's safe for harvesters and the bees themselves using smoke to interfere with the bee's line of communication.
Pure Organic and Raw Honey
It`s comes straight from the honeycomb and bottled unpasteurized. So it contains natural ingredients.
Truly Great Honey
In Nepal, this honey has been used for thousands of years in everything from medicinal properties, an ingredient in embalming fluid, antiviral. The honey is harvested twice a year; in late spring and in late autumn. The color and test can vary from batch to batch, as season and the flower from which bees collected nectar can vary.
I) Spring Honey: created from flowers at mid and lower altitudes that grow in temperate mountainous areas.
II) Autumn Honey: created from alpine flowers at high altitudes.
